Common Peafowl occurs in Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The population is stable. The are no known threats affecting the species. The species has also been introduced to Australia, Bahamas and other Caribbean islands, Hawaii, Japan and New Zealand.
