Support an animal — become a godparent!
An opportunity to support an animal of your own choice with a financial contribution!
Godparents programme will give you opportunity to support chosen animal and development of Rīga ZOO while also getting special bonuses—a certificate, news about your chosen animal, a yearly pass and others!
An individual, family, company or an organisation can become a godparent.
We offer Silver Godparent status to individuals or families. It has multiple levels depending on chosen donation. You can choose to become godparents of any animal in Rīga ZOO.
- Level 1 (250 EUR donation) gets annual pass for a family (two adults and up to three children);
- Level 2 (150 EUR donation) gets annual pass for one adult;
- Level 3 (100 EUR donation) gets annual pass for one child.
Levels 1–3 also get:
- A personalised certificate proving the godparent’s status;
- Newsletter about the daily life of the animal, its health and other aspects of its life once a year;
- An invitation to godparents information day (once a year).
By donating 50 EUR you can get non-personalised certificate for supporting your chosen animal.
We offer two donation levels for companies.
Golden level (1000–4999 EUR donation):
- An honorary plaque at the animal’s housing with company’s name;
- Opportunity to organise an event for company representatives when obtaining godparent status;
- A certificate proving the godparent’s status;
- Newsletter about the daily life of the animal, its health and other aspects of its life once a year;
- An invitation to godparents information day;
- An entry on Rīga ZOO LinkedIn page (upon agreement with the godparent);
- Plaque with company’s logo on the supporter wall.
Platinum level (donation over 5000 EUR):
- All the bonuses of Golden level;
- Guided tour for representatives of company (group up to 12 people);
- Special conditions for events and campaigns at the zoo.
A company can choose to become godparents of any animal in Rīga ZOO. It is possible to support both the entire group of the chosen species or just one animal. A good practice when becoming a godparent is to donate 10–50% of the animal’s annual maintenance costs.
