Species protection and conservation

Your donation directly funds important species protection and conservation projects, helping endangered and protected animal species both locally and globally.

For science and research

We make a vital contribution to research on rare and endangered animal species, and support the conservation of animal species worldwide.

Education

Rīga ZOO educates the public on environmental and animal conservation issues. Your support will allow us to continue our important work, making an invaluable contribution to educating the public on important issues in Latvia and worldwide.

Rīga ZOO is home to more than 400 animal species and around 3000 animals. Your donation helps to provide quality veterinary care, high-quality food, toys for physical and mental health, and supports the growth of the staff!

We are constantly striving to improve the environment around us in order to provide the best possible experience for Rīga ZOO guests, residents and staff. Sustainability, renewable energy, circular economy are areas we are working on every day!
