Northern Greater Galago occurs in eastern part of East Africa including Kenia, Mozambique, Somalia and Tanzania. The population is declining but the species is not considered threatened in a global level. Major threats include habitat loss, degradation and fragmentation.

■ Listed in Appendix II of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES, or Washington Convention).
