African Brush-tailed Porcupine occurs in Central Africa (Benin, Cameroon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Togo, Uganda). The numbers are currently unknown. The major threat is poaching.
