Mishmi Takin (Budorcas taxicolor taxicolor)

Takin (Budorca taxicolor) are medium-sized ungulates that live in the Himalayas. Studying them in the wild is difficult. For this reason, ethological studies in captivity can help improve our knowledge of this species. In addition, studies related to takin behavior and their use of their enclosures can help create guidelines for improving their facilities and their welfare.
