Swinhoe\u2019s Pheasant is an endemic species of Taiwan. The population is decreasing. The major threat in the past was poaching, currently the species is most affected by habitat destruction and subsequent fragmentation of population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conservation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u25a0 Included in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 1988, listed as Near Threatened <\/strong>(NT) since 1994.
\u25a0 Listed in Appendix I of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES<\/strong>, or Washington Convention).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
