White Stork nests in Europe, West Asia and South Africa (these populations winter in Sub-Saharan Africa) as well as Turkmenistan (winter from Iran to India). Numbers are currently increasing. The major threats for the species are hunting, habitat destruction, pollution with agrochemicals, poisoned baits for carnivores, shortage of nesting sites, and collisions with power lines, especially on migration through Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
