Rīga Zoo Service Booking and Cancellation Policy

Excursion, lesson, study tour, thematic excursion – Service
Rīga ZOO – Seller
Service Taker – Buyer
Service Leader – Lesson leader and/or guide
Service programme – itinerary and activities for excursions, study tours, thematic excursions, educational lessons.

General rules:

  1. By purchasing Rīga ZOO entrance tickets and any other Rīga ZOO Service, the Purchaser agrees and undertakes to comply with the Rīga ZOO Internal Rules*.
  2. The Purchaser is obliged to follow the instructions of the Service Manager.
  3. If the Purchaser violates the Rīga Zoo internal rules of order and/or fails to follow the instructions of the Service Manager, the Service Manager is entitled to reprimand the Purchaser, warning of the consequences of non-compliance – suspension of the Service, expulsion from the tour group and/or the territory of the Rīga Zoo, non-refund of the money paid, involvement of the Rīga Zoo Security Service or law enforcement authorities of the Republic of Latvia in resolving the situation.
  4. The teacher accompanying the group of pupils is present and responsible for the pupils and their behaviour during the Service.
  5. The Purchaser is responsible for the selection of appropriate clothing, footwear, according to the specifics of the Service (moving indoors, outdoors and outdoors in different weather conditions, different air temperatures).
  6. The Purchaser is aware that not all animals included in the description of the Service programme will always be available for viewing at the time of receipt of the Service.
  7. You can apply for the service by filling in the application form on the website, in this section, or by sending an email to: zooskola@rigazoo.lv.

Application and Approval Procedure:

  1. Confirmation of receipt of the Service application is an electronic confirmation message sent to the Buyer’s e-mail with the information about the Service applied for – date, time, duration, language, Service name, etc. relevant information about the Service.
  2. When booking the Service, 100% prepayment for the Guide Services is required.
  3. The Guide fees and entrance ticket prices are set out in the Price List. The current price list is available at www.rigazoo.lv.
  4. A pre-paid invoice will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the Purchaser.
  5. Confirmation of the reservation of the service is the paid prepaid invoice.
  6. Entrance tickets can be purchased on the spot at the place and time of the Service according to the actual number of people.
  7. Changes, cancellation and rescheduling of the Service:
  8. The Purchaser has the right to reschedule or cancel the Service booked. If the Purchaser wishes to reschedule the Service but is unable to do so at the time desired by the Purchaser, the Service shall be deemed cancelled.
  9. If the Buyer wishes to postpone the date, time, type or make any other changes to the requested Service, the Buyer shall contact the Seller at zooskola@rigazoo.lv and/or call +371 22003212 to inform the Seller. The Seller will consider the request and provide information to the Buyer whether changes to the requested Service are possible.
  10. If the Buyer wishes to refuse the requested Service, the Buyer should contact the Seller by writing to zooskola@rigazoo.lv and/or calling +371 22003212 to inform the Seller of this need.
  11. In case of cancellation at least 7 days prior to the date of receipt of the requested Service, the prepaid amount for the guide services will be refunded 100% to the Buyer’s bank account.
  12. In case of cancellation 4 – 6 days prior to the date of receipt of the requested Service, the prepaid amount for the guide service will be refunded 50% to the Buyer’s bank account.
  13. In case of cancellation 0 – 3 days prior to the date of receipt of the requested Service, the prepaid amount for the guide service will not be refunded.
  14. If the Service Purchaser delays the agreed start time for the Service, the duration of the Service shall be shortened by the relevant (missed) period of time. If the Service can no longer be provided because the Service Manager is busy providing another Service, the Service shall be deemed cancelled and no refund shall be made to the Service Purchaser.
  15. By purchasing the Service, the Customer agrees that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
