Linné’s Two-toed Sloth is found in northern South America. Countries of occurrence include Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela. Current population trend is unclear. There are no known major threats to the survival of the species.

■ Within EAZA, Linné’s Two-toed Sloth captive population data are recorded in European Studbook since 1997. It is kept by Zoo Halle.
