Grey Parrot
Grey Parrot occurs in Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Tanzania and Uganda. The species is also introduced to Benin and Togo. The population is decreasing. The major threats are poaching, illegal trade, habitat destruction.
Conservation
■ Included in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species in 2012, listed as Endangered (EN) since 2016.
■ Listed in Appendix I of Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES, or Washington Convention).
