European Common Toad
The European Common Toad is widespread in Europe, western part of Asia as well as northwestern Africa. It is a widely distributed species that inhabits a broad range of habitats. Numbers are currently stable, still, there are local declines in some populations. Possible threats are habitat loss, mortality on roads and prosecution.
Conservation.
■ Listed in Appendix III of the Bern Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats as a protected fauna species.
